This is an official "How to Not Flip a Shit" guide, because I'm so very good at freaking out about just about anything. I've figured out that I can think myself into a major freakout over the littlest thing, and its just not alright. So here goes, hopefully I'll remember to cover everything.
1. Don't stress the small stuff. Chances are it'll just work out in the end. Its like what Giulia always said, if it's meant to work out, the universe will make it happen, if not, its no big deal.
2. Chocolate. Lots of it. Massive amounts, the darker the chocolate, the better. Chocolate just has magical mood changing qualities that everyone should take advantage of. In fact, once you've defeated said stressor, the best thing to do is to go out to the nearest Friendly's, and order a Triple Fudge Brownie Sundae. Its chocolate with more chocolate on top and some chocolate on top of that. That's definitely what got me through my calc exam this week.
3. A long hot shower or bubble bath, whichever one you have easier access to. There's nothing better than hot water to release muscle tension, and the falling water just sounds nice.
4. The beach. Gotta love the sand under your feet, the sound of crashing waves, and a nice beach nap.
5. A nap in the sun is always a good plan. (Particularly when in combination with #4) I do believe I might be a bit solar powered...
6. Sleep in general, the more you sleep the less an effect some random thing could have on your overall mood. I'm sure everyone out there has experienced that weird mood you get in when you haven't gotten enough sleep and nothing seems to be working out for you. Do yourself a favor and don't throw lack of sleep on top of whatever issues you might be having.
7. Talk to your friends. Rant it out, write it out, do something to help get it off your mind. Friends tend to have excellent advice as well.
8. CAFFEINE.
9. NOT TOO MUCH CAFFEINE. IT WILL MAKE YOU MORE NERVOUS THAN YOU ALREADY ARE, AND COULD BE VERY DETRIMENTAL IN THE SLEEP DEPARTMENT.
10. Good music. There has to be some song out there that will perfectly encompass how you're feeling and how to make it right. LIKE THIS. I suggest chill music, Jack Johnson has helped me through many a stressed day.
11. Alright, now this one is going to sound ridiculous, but progressive muscle relaxation is amazing. Its a program sort of thing (you can find them all over youtube) where you're instructed to tense up certain muscles, hold the tension, and then release it. You do this until you've covered all the major muscles in your body, and afterwards... the only way to describe how you feel is wet noodle-y... its kind of awesome after you stress for too long.
12. Just remember in the long run, that whatever you're stressing about now does not have as significant an impact on your future as you think it does. Everything does work out alright eventually so long as you put in your best effort. Think about your current worries from the perspective of five years down the road. In five years are you going to remember that one Thursday where you had nonstop classes from 7:30am to 6pm and then a two hour calc exam after that? Chances are, you probably won't. And that's fine. You just need to stop stressing about it now, because it won't matter later.
13. Hugs. Lots of them. Its so nice knowing that someone else cares, and touch has a healing property.
14. Just deal with whatever it is as fast as you can. If it can be fixed, then fix it. Anytime is a good time to start getting over your fears. Why not start now?

Too many shadows in my room. Too many hours in this midnight. Too many corners in my mind. So much to do to set my heart right. - John Mayer
This'll probs be edited later when I figure out what else is going to stop me from flipping a shit this week...
